noissue Tissue

  • I want to order 28 GSM tissue, but I can’t find the option?

We typically print 1 color designs on 17 GSM, and 2 color or full bleed designs on 28 GSM.

If you would prefer to have your 1 color design printed on 28 GSM tissue, please get in touch with the team here.

  • Why doesn't the color of my tissue paper exactly match my sticker?

This is because different printing methods are used for different materials.

Our tissue paper is produced with offset printing that uses Pantone hex codes, while our stickers are printed digitally using CMYK colors. This can result in a color variation of 5% to 10%.

  • What size is noissue tissue?

There are two sizes of noissue tissue available:

    What_size_is_your_tissue__v2.jpg

    • Large - 50x75cm (20" X 30")
    • Small - 38x50cm (15" X 20")

  • What GSM is your tissue?

Our standard tissue for single color printing is 17gsm - the thickness commonly associated with tissue paper.

Should you need something thicker, we also offer 28gsm. This thickness is used for all 2 color and full bleed printing.

  • How is noissue tissue shipped?

We ship all noissue tissue orders in custom noissue boxes, offering full protection and a convenient easy-to-use tissue drawer.

    Tissue_box.png

Each box can hold 250, 500 or 1,000 sheets, depending on the volume of your order.

  • Is noissue tissue eco-friendly?

    Certainly!

We use acid-free paper and soy-based inks. These are FSC-certified materials that are environmentally-friendly and easier to recycle.

noissue Tape

  • Is noissue Tape reinforced?

Our tape is super strong and can hold up to 30kgs per package and even better, there is no plastic or fibreglass running through our tape, meaning it is not reinforced.

  • What materials work best with noissue Tape?

noissue Tape works best with cardboard or paper products such as kraft mailers/envelopes, plain cardboard boxes or paper bags.

If there is quite a lot of ink on your cardboard box and it has a glossy shine to it, our tape will find it much harder to form a bond so it would be best to order some samples first to test this!

Unfortunately, we do not recommend using our tape with noissue Compostable mailers as it is very hard for the adhesive to form a bond with this material.

Our stickers, on the other hand, work really well!

  • noissue Tape Dispenser
Our manual tape dispenser makes applying noissue Tape a breeze! It can hold all of our sizes of tape and is currently only available to our US customers.

We will be releasing this worldwide soon.

    Packer-3S-300pxtransparent.png

  • What is the diameter of noissue Tape core?

Both sizes of tape have a core with a diameter of 5.75cm or 2.25in

  • How thick is noissue tape?

noissue tape uses 80 GSM paper.

GSM stands for 'grams per square meter' and measures the weight of paper. 80 GSM is the weight of regular copy paper.

For more information on GSM, check out our guide here.

  • How is noissue tape shipped?

noissue tape is shipped in boxes of 5, 10, or 50 rolls. All boxes include a sponge inside to activate the tape with water.

As an example; if you order 20 rolls, you can expect to receive two boxes of 10 with 2 sponges.

noissue Cards

  • Do you have cards that fold?

At present, we don't have any kinds of cards that have a fold line.

We only have cards that are one piece of card that you can print on the front and back, like a postcard but not like a birthday card!

  • What makes noissue Cards sustainable?

Our cards are made from 100% recycled content, printed with soy-based inks and are 100% compostable and recyclable.

Most cards you will see out there have a silicone or plastic coating involved, but not these. Not on our watch. All noissue cards are uncoated and printed with soy-based inks with recycled FSC certified paper. The packaging that we ship the cards in is also completely paper-based and can be composted at home on your heap or recycled to make more noissue Cards!

Check out more on noissue products here.

  • Can I print double-sided?

    Definitely.

You can print the same or different designs on both sides. There is no difference in price between doing 1 or 2 sides.

How many colors you might ask? As many as you like! We print CMYK

  • How thick are noissue Cards?

Our cards are 350gsm or 16pt

  • Do you have any pre-existing designs?

    Not yet, but very soon!

We will be releasing an online editor in the coming months that will have templates and some pre-existing designs so that you can create with ease. If you are a creative and have some ideas you'd like to share - check out our creative community and get signed up here

  • Can I write on the cards?

    Sure can.

Our cards are uncoated so that they can be composted and recycled easily. Most pens will work just fine when writing on the cards.

    • 5.8cm x 2.2cm / 2.29 in x 0.87 in
  • How should I take care of my noissue Stamp?

It doesn't take much to keep your noissue Stamp in optimum condition - here are a few handy tips from the team:

    • Store your stamp in a cool, dry and dark place. Heat and light will sometimes melt, distort or crack the rubber on your stamp and we wouldn't want that!
    • Don't use nasty inks. Yes, we're looking at you alcohol and solvent inks! By using soy-based or water-based inks, the rubber on your stamp will stay healthy and so will the materials you are stamping.
    • Give it a clean every now and again. To do this use a damp cloth or non-chemical based wipes and give it a gentle clean.
  • How long will my stamp last?

noissue Stamps are made with quality materials and if kept & used correctly, will last for many years.

Our traditional wooden stamp is good for well over 10,000 impressions and our self-inking, 10 x that. Check out our article on how to look after your stamp here.

  • Can I buy ink refills?

At the moment we don't sell ink as a stand-alone product, only when ordered with stamps. We are working on offering our sustainable soy-based inks - stay tuned!

  • What color ink do you have?

At the moment we have 4 ink colors:

    • Black
    • Blue (Closest to PMS 300 C)

  • What are your release liners made from?
Release liners are the sheets that our stickers come on.

At present, these have a silicone coating on them so unfortunately, they are not compostable. In terms of recycling, this depends on the facilities within your area - but most would be fine to process these.

We are working on a solution to make these compostable - stay tuned!
  • What is the best way to dispose of noissue stickers?

noissue stickers are made out of FSC-certified paper, printed using soy-based ink, and have a non-toxic adhesive. This makes them 100% recyclable and compostable!

noissue Foodsafe Paper

  • Does the paper have a wax or silicone coating?

noissue Foodsafe does not have a coating at this stage, however it is greaseproof!

The reason we don't have a coated paper is completely down to the sustainability characteristics of this type of paper being in conflict with the noissue framework. We are working towards a sustainable alternative on this - stay tuned!

  • Will noissue foodsafe handle really greasy/oily food?

Our foodsafe paper is 38GSM and is similar to that of a tray liner. It will withstand some grease but due to the fact that there is no coating on the paper (that would require a plastic coating), we can't guarantee the paper will withstand really oily or wet foods like some other greaseproof paper might.

If you are not sure whether this is going to suit your restaurant - best to order a sample pack here.

  • What is the difference in colors/prices?

There are 3 different options with design when it comes to noissue Foodsafe paper:

    • 1 Color - this is where your design includes a logo or design that contains 1 Pantone color and does not involve a full background.
    • 1C Full Background (flood printing) - this is where your color covers the full background of the paper, or you have a white logo/design that has been reveresed out.
    • 2 Color - this is where there is either a full color background with a color logo, or a 2 color logo

    Colors_for_Foodsafev8-04.png

If you require any clarifications from the team, just let us know!

  • What sizes can I order?

noissue Foodsafe Paper is available in 5 sizes to suit most food presentation needs.

From small to large, we have:

    • 15 x 15cm / 6" x 6"
    • 18 x 25cm / 7" x 10"
    • 25 x 25cm / 10" x 10"
    • 30 x 30cm / 12" x 12"
    • 30cm x 42cm / 12" x 16.5"

If you're not sure what size might suit your purpose best, get in touch with the team here and we'd be happy to talk through it with you!

  • What sizes do Kraft Mailers come in?

     small_kraft.jpg

     medium_kraft.jpg

       large_kraft.jpg

  • What's the minimum number of Kraft Mailers I need to order?

    As low as 250!

We have standard pricing for our Kraft Mailers for quantities of 250, 500, 1000, and 2000. If you want to order more than this, simply get in touch with the team here and we can get you sorted.

  • Can I print metallics & neon colors on Kraft Mailers?

We can print metallic & neon colors but only with 1 Color designs. Unfortunately we haven't quite worked out how to do a 4C process with these color variations, but we're working on it!

  • What makes your Kraft Mailers sustainable?

the noissue Kraft Mailer fits within 2/3 of our sustainability framework as they are made from recycled materials and are compostable!

These are made from 100% Recycled FSC Paper, which means no virgin pulp has been used, only pulp from paper that has been used at least once already. As well as that, we print with soy-based inks which makes these are really easy to recycle and compost!

Once your customer has finished unpacking their goodies, it's best to recycle these so they can be used over and over.

  • Are the Kraft Mailers waterproof?

They should be fine with a few drops of rain, but they are made completely from recycled paper with no coating, so if you are worried about your items getting wet we would advise using either of our 100% Compostable or Recycled Mailers

  • Can I ship fragile items in these?

We would certainly not advise it!

The Kraft mailers are thick and durable, but there is no padding inside the mailers. These are great for shipping:

    • Prints and cards
    • Apparel
    • Books & Magazines
    • Photos
    • Calendars
    • Artwork

If you want to check what would be best to ship your items, just ask the team!

noissue Recycled Mailers

  • What kind of recycled plastic do you use?

The noissue Recycled Mailers are made from Pre-Consumer Recycled waste.

    Below are the differences:

Pre-Consumer Recycled - This is waste that hasn't yet been used by the consumers and is typically from off-cuts, trimmings etc that didn't make it into the final consumer product.

Post-Consumer Recycled - This is waste that comes from consumers recycling their plastic. When you recycle our mailers, it will become post-consumer waste.

Both have their merits. By using either of these, we can avoid plastic going to landfill, which is the end goal. We are working hard to try and get more Post-Consumer waste into our mailers as we think that this is more beneficial, we hope to have this as an option by early 2021.

  • What color are the noissue Recycled Mailers?

Our Beautiful 100% Recycled Mailers are printed with a black design on a PMS 346U coloured bag.

  • Can I get samples of these?

We are working on including these in all sample packs, bear with us as we get that sorted!

If it is essential you touch and feel these before purchasing, feel free to get in touch with the team and we will get it sorted for you.

  • Are they Recyclable?

These are made from a combination of 100% recycled LDPE (4) and HDPE (2).

The numbers in brackets represent which recycling plastic these materials belong to so that these can be sorted correctly.

It is best to check on what regulations are in place in your area around recycling regulations. Most local councils & governments will have detailed information readily available for this and will be able to tell you where is best to recycle these.

  • Do they have a shelf life?

These should be fine to last as long as you need them! To avoid the ink fading over time, keep them in the carton they come in until ready to use.

  • What thickness are they?

noissue Recycled Mailers are 60UM or 2.36mil thick.

From the tests we have done, this is the optimum thickness to withstand domestic and international shipping whilst using as little material and keeping the mailers as light as we can.
