Can you print a full background colour napkin?
Yes we can do a full colour napkin, there are a range of available colours to choose from at 100,000 units and up. We can usually get close to a standard colour but we aren't able to match a pantone colour for a full napkin as printing that much ink on the napkin causes bleed and wrinkling so we have to select the closest option base material and print the design on top. What are the printing recommendations for napkins?
It’s recommended that you print 1 colour on napkins due to their propensity for shifting during the printing process causing misalignment of colours. This also means that the placement of logos will be slightly different on some napkins, there’s typically a ¼” variance or shift across all the napkins on your order. We do of course print more than 1 colour on napkins all the time and the majority of the order turns out great but there will be a portion that are ‘misprinted’. There’s also a risk of creasing when a large print area is required, the more ink used on the napkin the likelier that the material will crease or fold in ink dense areas. See examples:
