Can deli paper withstand heat / water / steam / freezing?

Not exactly. Deli paper is essentially paper with a food-safe coating applied. This means that if it’s exposed to high heat (like in a sandwich or grill press, oven, or microwave), it can burn. We don’t recommend heating food paper; instead, remove the food before reheating.

Similarly, while the paper is resistant to grease, it’s not waterproof. Water or steam can soak through and cause the paper to tear. Freezing is also not recommended, as the product hasn’t been tested or certified for freezer use.

What is the shelf life of deli paper?

It depends on what you mean by “usable.” The deli paper itself can last for years under proper storage conditions, but the print typically begins to fade after 12–18 months. We generally recommend using the product within a year to avoid any ink degradation.

Can we print multi colour or metallic colours on deli paper?

For this option, we can print up to a maximum of 2 colors. If you’d like to use more than 3, we recommend checking out our Custom Premium Food Paper instead. Please note that metallic inks are made from a different base and are not food-safe, so they can’t be used on food paper.

What custom sizes are available for deli paper?

We can print as small as 150 x 150 mm and as large as 600 x 900 mm. While we can cut smaller sizes, precision decreases below 150 x 150 mm, which may result in slight size variations. The minimum order quantity for any custom size outside our standard online options is 50,000 units.

Can we print custom shapes on deli paper?

Yes, we can cut custom shapes for any size below 600 x 600 mm. Please note that only single-color designs can be printed for this option, and the minimum order quantity is 75,000 units. There’s a higher tolerance for shape variance, meaning the design may not appear exactly the same on every sheet.

Can we print a gradient or a higher number of colours on deli paper?

Yes, we can print using CMYK, which allows for gradient designs and more than four colors. However, please note that color accuracy is lower with CMYK compared to Pantone printing. This option is available in our Custom Premium Food Paper.

Is noissue Custom Deli Paper coated? 

It is not coated, but it is still foodsafe and appropriate for most foods. Since there is no coating, performance may vary for especially greasy or wet foods, so if you want to test it for your specific purpose, you can order a sample pack here! We also don't recommend using it in the oven or microwave due to the lack of coating.
